INDICATIONS AND USAGE

  • Sedation of initially intubated and mechanically ventilated patients during treatment in an intensive care setting.
  • Sedation of non-intubated patients prior to and/or during surgical and other procedures.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

Continuously monitor blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen levels during administration. Bradycardia, hypotension, transient hypertension and arousability may result. The most common adverse reactions are hypotension, respiratory depression and bradycardia.

  • 2 mL of Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection to 48 mL of 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection to a total volume of 50 mL.
  • 4 mL of Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection to 96 mL of 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection to a total volume of 100 mL.
